New Hampshire Traffic Safety Institute, also known as NHTSI, was established in 1994 as a not-for-profit, non-governmental, public service organization.  We are a member of the National Safety Council.  All of our instructors are certified, and all of our courses are approved by the State of New Hampshire.

Our primary course of instruction is the Attitudinal Dynamics (DDC-ADD) course.  Participation in this course is mandated by New Hampshire state law for all habitual offenders.   Participants in this course are eligible for a three (3) point  reduction on their driving record. This is a six (6) hour course.

NHTSI also offers a four- and six-hour defensive driving course for businesses.  This course has been proven to minimize employee accidents, thereby reducing employer liability and cost including the reduction of employee absenteeism. The six-hour defensive driving course meets all of the requirements of the New Hampshire State Department of Safety for a three (3) point reduction on the participant's driving record.

We provide the DDC-ADD Course in eleven (11) locations throughout New Hampshire.  This course has also been approved by the State of Maine for residents of that state. 

NHTSI received the Best Performance Award from the National Safety Council for our Defensive Driving-ADD Course for the years 1998-204 and the Star Award for 2005-2006.
